Consular Cooperation Mechanism.

1. What is the mechanism?

This mechanism is based on the collaboration and diplomatic representation of the Paraguayan Embassy of the United Kingdom in Ireland through our Association.

It was born out of the need of our community of residents to carry out these procedures with more agility and efficiency, so the association extends the support to its members.

The embassy provides consular services such as issuing passports, emergency assistance and facilitating legal formalities.

APRI acts as a liaison between Paraguayans living in Ireland and the embassy.

2. What is NOT a mechanism?

Is not an entity with diplomatic status (embassy/consulate) of Paraguay in Ireland.

APRI representatives will not sign or issue documents.

APRI representatives will not have access to the personal documents of Irish residents.

3. Conditions.

In the process of withdrawing documents, nationals must appear in person at the relevant diplomatic unit.

The personal appearance at the headquarters will be avoided in cases of application of the Consular Cooperation Mechanism.
